We are here!

St Wilfrids Church is approximately 21/2 miles south-east of Warrington town centre and is also close to M6 Junction 20 and M56 Junction 9.

From Warrington, follow A5061 Knutsford Road which joins A50 in Latchford. Shortly after the junction with A56 near the Spring Brook public house, turn right into Bellhouse Lane.  Follow the lane and cross the Bridgewater Canal at the hump-back bridge where you enter Church Lane. The church is in the right.

From the motorway interchange, take A50 towards Warrington.  Shortly after crossing the Bridgewater Canal (watch out for the 30mph speed limit sign) turn left into Bellhouse Lane.  Follow the lane and cross the Bridgewater Canal at the hump-back bridge where you enter Church Lane. The church is on the right.

Disabled parking

We have a new carpark which allows level access to church for wheelchair users, without needing to navigate the cobbles, just follow the church track to the left of the Parr Arms.

Parking is available at the rear of the Parish Centre, which is opposite the church and down the church track to the left of the Parr Arms. For special events, additional parking is usually available in St Wilfrids School, a little further along Church Lane.  There is also a large car park at the rear of the Rams Head public house for those visitors to the church,  who may also wish to avail themselves of the facilities offered by this establishment!.  Please park at the bottom of the car park.

Please note the village has traditional cobble stones which are picturesque but can be difficult to walk on in poor weather or high heels!

Accessibility

St Wilfrid's is an ancient building but we do our best to make it accessible to all. The church has an amplification system with a hearing loop and large screens clearly displaying the serivce details and hymns.. The church has chairs rather than pews making it easy to create a space for a pram or wheelchair. There are no steps into church from either the south or north door. Gluten free wafers are available at communion services and we are happy to bring communion to you in your seat if you find getting to the altar difficult. Just have a word with one of our friendly welcoming team when you arrive and let them know what you need.

Toilet and baby changing facilites are available in church.

Please do be aware that St Wilfrid's is in a conservation area and that the approach to the church is over a cobbled street.
